PASIGHAT, Jan 9: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu today took stock of the developmental achievements and progress of various ongoing Central and State sponsored schemes under SPA, NEC, RIDF, SADA, SIDF, NLCPR, Smart City Mission along with PM and CM Flagship schemes in the district during the District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) and monthly E-Pragati meeting today.
The DC asked for proactive efforts   in expediting works on priority projects while referring to the status of the works on the State University, Arunachal Pradesh State University (APU), as the State University established by the state government is a pride of the state for creating opportunities for the youth for pursuing quality higher education in the state.
The DC also lauded the PHE Pasighat Division for achieving 100% saturation in providing functional household potable-tap water connection under Har-Ghar Jal Jeevan Mission. He said that the District Administration is serious on the issue of city waste management in which he also suggested Pasighat Municipal Corporation (PMC) to involve NGOs  towards a participatory approach and efficient garbage management. Waste segregation at the household level by providing colour coded dustbins will be the first step in this effort. Taggu also stressed on National Social Assistance Programme and social security schemes, Agri-Horti and allied sectors stressing that the target beneficiaries are benefited for from welfare schemes.
The DLMC Meeting, E-Pragati monthly Review meeting and pre review meeting on upcoming DISHA meeting in Roing was attended by Mebo ADC Sibo Passing, DPO Tatak Mibang, HoDs, ArSLM representatives among others.
