East Siang bags 3 Poshan awards

PASIGHAT, Oct 27: In a recently concluded State Level Event on Thursday last at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall at Itanagar, East Siang District bagged 3 Poshan Awards out of the total six in recognition for exceptional performance during the Rashtriya Posahan Maah 2018 by the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Besides other three awardees from Namsai and Lohit districts, Ponung Ering Angu, Deputy Director (ICDS) East Siang District, Mailong Taku Moyong CDPO Mebo and Amping Ratan, AWW Mebo were also conferred the awards by Nabam Rebia , Minister, Women and Child Development in the presence of Gamli Padu, Commissioner (WCD) and Director (WCD) T.P Loyi among others.

Mailong T. Moyong was awarded a National Posahan award recently earlier this month at New Delhi besides receiving a commendation from the District Administration during the year 2016-17. While Amping Ratan was also declared the Best AWW at the state level in the year 2016-17 and had received a State award in this regard.
