SEPPA, Jan 13: East Kameng is all geared up to host 1600 players from 25 districts participating for the 4th Under -18  State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Football & Volleyball (Boys & Girls) Trophy 2019-20 at Seppa which will begin on Tuesday.
Minister, Sports & Youth Affairs, Mama Natung who is personally monitoring the ground work along with the districts elected representatives assured that all basic facilities are in place for the players including food and accommodation.  
‘District administration along with local MLAs Tapuk Taku, Hayang Mangfi, Goruk Pordung and I am personally monitoring the preparations. We have visited various accommodations and had lunch with the players to assure them about the arrangements,’ he said.
As the district headquarters doesn’t have many hotels to accommodate players and management teams, the administration has also designated various schools, hostels for players earmarked as sports village with all basic amenities. Special care is on provision of potable water and sanitary napkins for girl players.
Asked about security and medical response team during the tournament, Minister said ‘East Kameng and its people have always welcomed tourists with noble gestures. So there shouldn’t be any fear for law and order; however we have proper security arrangement for the teams at all the grounds and other designated areas.’
He further informed that medical staff with necessary kits will be present at each ground to ensure proper medical support.
Natung will officially launch the tournament on January 14 at the General Ground Seppa. The tournament will be played at four venues—General Ground, Government Higher Secondary School Ground Bebo  Colony, JNV Seppa and St. Joseph School ground from January 13- 24 next.
