ITANAGAR, Jan 5: Environment and Forest Minister, Mama Natung, said that E-Rickshaw will not only serve as convenience service for visitors, visiting the Itanagar Biological Park but also minimise pollution and safety of the animals in the park.
Natung, who flagged off a pair of E-Rickshaw for the Itanagar Biological Park here on Friday, said that it is a move to avoid air and sound pollution which in a way hampers the peace of the animals by the entry of personal vehicles.
He said, as the biological park covers a large area and is an issue for the visitors to visit the entire area by foot. Thus, with the launch of the E-Rickshaw, now visitors can effortlessly visit every single area of the park with ease.
Natung also informed that the procurement of more such E-Rickshaws is in the pipeline. Though such an initiative was ignored by the past government, the present BJP government is ensuring to integrate every possible facility in the park for the convenience of visitors as well as the animals.
