KIMIN, Oct 30: The Durpa Panchayat Football Club lifted the ongoing VIIIth Panchayat level football tournament-2018 in an interesting match with Upper Jumi Panchayat Football Club at Mini Subansiri stadium, here on Monday.
The tournament which began on October 19 saw seven teams participating and the final match was played on October 29 wherein a large number of people gathered to witness the deciding match between the two panchayats of the same circle.
Land Management, Environment & Forest Minister Nabam Rebia and Arunachal Pradesh Science & Technology (APSCS &T) chairman Bamang Mangha attended the valedictory function.
The winning team went home with a cash prize of Rs. 60000 while the runners up received Rs. 20,000 along with trophy and certificate. Kimin-I was adjudged as best disciplined team, Likha Sonam of Upper Jumi and Tagru James of Durpa were awarded for best scorers, Tadar Mama of Upper Jumi was declared best player of the tournament and Ngurang Rikam of Upper Jumi was awarded for best goalkeeping.
