Yupia, Dec 11: State Minister of Transport and Tourism Nakap Nalo today inaugurated the Driving Simulator device here at the District Transport office in presence of local MLA-14 Doimukh Tana Hali Tara, Secretary Transport Dani Salu and others.
Director Transport, ADC Yupia, HoDs, District Transport Officers and staff of District Transport office were also present. Nalo while congratulating the transport department for introduction of the device, said that it will usher in improvement of services and responsibilities of the department. 
He further called upon the District Transport Officers from various districts to make themselves well acquainted the pros and cons of Driving Simulator and to ensure that the services provide by the department are effective and helpful. Speaking on improving the state’s transport department, the minister informed that government is taking steps to take forward the department to new heights by improving services and infrastructure. 
MLA 14-Doimukh congratulated the department for their achievement and expressed hope that the device will not only save time, but also help in conducting hassle-free training and tests to the novice drivers. While expressing his concern over increasing underage drink and driving accidental cases, he opined that department should ensure that Arunachal Motor vehicles Act is fully implemented.  Secretary Transport advised the District Transport Officers to maintain impeccable image in the eyes of people and have clear concept about duties and responsibilities. 

It is worthwhile to mention that Driving Simulators for two wheelers and four wheelers have been introduced in the state for the first time and will be used for training and test for novice drivers before issuing driving licence. DIPRO
