PASIGHAT, Feb 11: Road Safety Week concluded with a positive note in East Siang district. 
During the week-long observation, the district police headed by the SP Prashant Gautam organized an intensified public awareness campaign to make people more aware of the traffic rules and persuade them to follow them while on road, aiming to reduce casualties due to road accidents. Through a variety of programmes people were encouraged to follow the road safety rules.
Meanwhile, a drawing competition was conducted on Sunday at the Reserve Police Line as a part of this observation on the topic “Sadak Sukasha Jeevan Raksha” which was participated by 67 students from 1-4th and 5-8th standard of 12 Pasighat schools.
Appreciating the traffic in-charge Ange Miyu (SI) for successful conduct of the week-long celebration, SP informed that during the whole week, a variety of educational banners, safety posters, leaflets etc were distributed to the travellers to motivate them about road safety. DIPRO
