Yupia, Dec 27: The District Level Planning Committee (DPC) meeting for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2020-21 of Papum Pare district organized by the Department of Panchayati Raj was held today here at the ZPC Hall.
The DPC was presided by Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman DPC Pige Ligu and attended by MLA 13-Doimukh Tana Hali Tara, ADC-cum-DPDO & Member Secretary Tabang Bodung and all Chairpersons & Member Secretaries of the DPC and line officers comprising the HoDs of the Capital district. Bodung while elaborating the aims and objectives of the meeting told that it had been convened on the direction of the state government to chalk out plans for 2020-21, adding that Chief Secretary has already circulated the guidelines to be followed in GPDP scheme proposals to the department secretaries and all HoDs are to act accordingly. Stressing on urgent appointment of frontline works by the respective line departments for better coordination among departments in scheme proposals and their implementations, he urged the HoDs and officers to maintain team spirit. Doimukh MLA urged the District Planning Committee and HoDs to avoid overlapping in project scheme proposals and urged the officers to work in a coordinated manner. He also impressed upon the officers to undertake tours to villages to acquaint with the ground realities and ensure effective monitoring of project implementations and create public awareness about government plans, policies and development agendas. 

DC-cum-Chairman, DPC urged the stakeholders to discourage overlapping of  scheme proposals and asserted that government may consider the GPDP draft proposals 2020-21 in a positive note and asked the ADC-cum-DPDO to make a brief note on the scheme proposals of the last five years pending approval and submit it to the Doimukh MLA so that he can take up the matter with competent authorities or raise the issue in the assembly session. He also asked all line departments and HoDs of the district to prepare the assets created in respective departments of the last five years and submit it to the MLA.

Earlier, all Chairpersons and Member Secretaries made Power Point Presentations on the demands and scheme proposals of their respective Blocks and Circles for approval by the DPC in the meeting. DIPRO
