KHONSA, Sep 23: The Department of Tirap, Changlang and Longding (DoTCL), in collaboration with the Tirap district administration, conducted a one-day Career Counselling Programme for indigenous APST Class X pass-outs and college students of Tirap district at the Panchayat Hall, Khonsa, on Wednesday.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Deputy Commissioner, Tirap, Badonlum Tawsik, along with the resource persons.
The programme was specifically designed to guide and support students in exploring diverse career opportunities, making informed career choices and planning for a promising future. The initiative also aimed to benefit UPSC and APPSC aspirants by providing them with valuable insights and guidance from experienced officers and professionals from diverse fields.
Addressing the inaugural session, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the participating youth to explore the wide range of career opportunities available to them and strive for excellence in their chosen fields. He urged the students, particularly UPSC and APPSC aspirants, to make the most of the programme and listen attentively to the resource persons, who had been invited to share their knowledge, experiences and practical insights.
The day-long programme featured interactive sessions and discussions covering a wide range of career avenues. The sessions were led by resource persons from diverse professional backgrounds, including:Col. Ankit Harjai, SM, CO, 44 Assam Rifles; Shri Aditya, IPS, SP; Namneet Singh, IAS, ADC among others.
The sessions provided participants with an opportunity to interact directly with experienced professionals and gain practical insights into various career pathways, competitive examinations, emerging sectors and the skills required to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape.
