ITANAGAR, Apr 25: Secretary DoNER Dr. Inderjit Singh has called for strengthening and qualitative improvements in project implementation and monitoring mechanism by avoiding cost and time overruns. Reviewing the status of the various projects under DoNER, Singh emphasized on the senior officers of the state to come up with substantial big ticket projects with potential transformational ideas which will have major impact in the overall growth and development of the state.
The Secretary DoNER also reviewed implementation status of livelihood programmes in the state and progress of implementation of various programmes in aspirational districts like Namsai.
The Chief Secretary gave a detailed status report of the various projects under North East Council (NEC), Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR), and North Eastern Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region in the State of Arunachal Pradesh in the review meeting which was undertaken by the Secretary DoNER Dr. InderJit Singh at the Civil Secretariat, Itanagar on Wednesday.
Singh was accompanied by Joint Secretaries JK Sinha and Saurabh Endley, and Director Umesh Kumar. Interacting with the senior officers of the state, the Secretary termed their visit to Arunachal Pradesh as ‘mission DoNER at your doorstep’.

CS Satya Gopal updating the status of the various ongoing projects also projected some practical issues for consideration from the MDoNER. He further requested the visiting dignitaries to increase the fund allocation especially in the water supply, education, health and connectivity sectors.

He also placed before the delegates the dire need of an institute of par excellence like AIIMS etc which will serve as an iconic institute for not only Arunachal Pradesh but also entire North East.
All senior officers of the state including Principal Secretary Dr. AC Verma, Secretary Planning NT Glow, Commissioners Bilatee Pertin and Marnya Ete, Secretaries, Chief Engineers and Directors etc were present in the meeting. PRO to CS
