Itanagar, May 28: As a part of their Covid Relief Programme, the Salesians of Don Bosco and AIDA on Thursday reached out to senior citizens, migrants, women and children here in the capital by providing food grains, hand sanitizers and masks.
Around 114 households were benefited from the programme which was an initiative of the Don Bosco Youth Centre, Association of past pupils of Don Bosco and the Salesians Sisters.
The programme started through distribution of kits by Associate Pastor of Catholic Church, Itanagar Fr. Paulinus SDB which was participated by a large number of DB past pupils and Salesian Sisters. Principal of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Jollang Fr. Joshua SDB appealed the beneficiaries to maintain personal hygiene and Covid safety measures. Past pupil of Don Bosco Kime Aya, IPS stressed on wearing masks and Advocate Taring Mayu spoke on the need for maintaining social distancing in public places.
The Salesian Sisters from Auxilium Gohpur and Jollang distributed 400 masks especially to the migrant labourers, women, children and elderly. APPDB PR
