ITANAGAR, Oct 24: In a major breakthrough, Itanagar police has arrested three persons involved in a burglary case at Itanagar. The arrests were made on the basis of an FIR lodged by one Rana Tok, an assistant engineer in the PHED department on October 8 last.
The burglary took place on October 5 last at around 10.30 am, wherein the trio broke into the house and stole Rs 15 lakhs including traditional ornaments.
The mastermind Dilip Kharia, a native of Biswanath Chariali, Assam happens to be the domestic help of the complainant Rana Tok. Dilip was arrested the next day after the FIR was registered based on a CCTV footage, informed Police.
After intense interrogation of the arrestee, Police came to know that Karim Khan and Salim khan both brothers from Lekhapani under Tinsukia District, Assam were also involved in the crime.
We arrested Karim on October 20 from Tezu with a KTM bike and Verna car and Salim on October 13, informed Police.
Karim was brought from Tezu today and produced before the district court Yupia. All three are lodged in the district jail Jullang.
