ITANAGAR, Dec 7: NCC Unit of capital’s Dera Natung Government College today organized a 'Plogging Run' to mark the Armed Forces Flag Day.
The run which started from Ramakrishna Mission Hospital and culminated at the College campus was participated by 200 cadets comprising Senior Division and Senior Wing of the college’s NCC Unit. Joining the run, Principal Dr. N. T. Rikam highlighted the contribution and sacrifice of the Army, Navy and Air Force in ensuring nation’s safety and briefed the cadets on “Fit India Mission.” The programme was organized under the supervision of ANO (NCC) Lieutenant Agin Tabohand CTO (NCC) Dr. Likha Eichir. Assistant Professor of Anthropology, DNGC Dr. Ratna Tayeng was also present. 
It needs mentioning that the theme ‘Plogging Run’ means “Picking up litter while running and jogging” and it has been introduced in NCC units across the country by the Director General National Cadets Corps, New Delhi. DNGC PR
