Itanagar, Sep 22: A Language Laboratory funded under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Programme of MHRD, GoI was inaugurated today here at the Dera Natung Government College by Minister for Education, Cultural & Indigenous Affairs, Er. Taba Tedir.
The Minister appreciated the college authority for changing the face of the campus and enhancing reputation, adding that it has come a long way to become one of the premier institutions of higher education in the state. He emphasized that in this fast-changing global environment, education system, pedagogy and language learning must try to cope up and while highlighting the importance of language fluency, urged students to use the language lab to boost speaking skills.
Releasing the 39th edition of the College Magazine ‘Alokarun’ Tedir also distributed laptops procured from RUSA fund to the faculty members of the college. Deputy State Project Director, RUSA Minto Ete, requested the faculty members to prepare themselves for Operation Digital Board. RUSA Coordinator, DNGC, Tao Abo observed that distribution of laptops will greatly enhance the smooth functioning of the college automation.
Earlier, the Minister accompanied by Principal Dr. N.T. Rikam, Vice-Principal, Kumar Tok, Deputy SPD, RUSA and all HoDs visited several departments to take stock of the infrastructures and interacted with students from NCC, NSS and Arts Club of the college. DNGC PR
