Khonsa, Jan 24: The District Task Force Meeting on Immunization was held here today under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman District Health Society, Tirap, Hento Karga.
In her welcome speech, DMO Tirap Dr. N. Lowang highlighted the aims and objectives of the meeting, informing that the main aim of the meeting was to review routine immunization, SAANS, and 1st round of the special vaccination campaign 2.0.
DRCHO Dr. T. Gao  presented a PowerPoint presentation on the blockwise achievements of the different immunization programs.
During the discussion, DC Tirap Hento Karga emphasized the need to improve the district's current ranking in the health sector of the state. He urged all the personnel responsible for immunization to be sincere with their respective responsibilities and to work proactively and selflessly to achieve 100% saturation in the district. He also stated that immunization is difficult for only two reasons: surveying and tracking. Therefore, he suggested giving proper time for surveying, after which tracking the child becomes very easy. He also instructed the concerned officials to coordinate with ASHAs and mobilize them. A blockwise meeting regarding immunization will be conducted next month to chalk out solutions to the problems and review the outcome of today's meeting. DIPRO
