Ziro,Aug 5: The annual action plans of all the departments were screened for further submission to the government during the District Planning Board (DPB) meeting held at DC Conference Hall, Hapoli today.
The DPB is the highest planning board in the district, with Er.Tage Taki , Minister as Chairman , DC Chukhu Takar as Vice Chairman, DPO Doyak Sangyu as member Secretary and Er.Taba Tedir, Minister and HoDs as members.
This board aims to usher in systematic, planned and sustainable development in the district.
Addressing the house Tedir, called for prioritizing projects and schemes that cater to a larger section of society. “Individual projects will not be entertained. Viability and sustainability of a project will be the other criteria for the selection of a proposal," he further ascertained.
“The better performing schools with good enrollment shall be given priority during fund allocation, “ added the Education Minister while reviewing the Annual action plan of the education department.
“ Under no circumstances shall any proposals against zero enrollment school be entertained,” he directed the DDSE.
Taki, assured that the project proposals shall be selected on need base from the DPB authorised list.
“Earlier instances of parachuting private and individual projects with almost nil ground implementation shall be henceforth curbed with the formation of DPB. The DPB will also ensure proper monitoring ,since the District Administration will have a clear picture of projects sanctioned ,” he added.
He further advised the HoDs to be proactive and work on their creative sides to improve their departments in the district .
All the HoDs presented their AoPs which was later approved by the board. DIPRO.
