3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
NAMSAI, Nov 24: To inculcate reading habits amongst the youth, Namsai district library organized a unique programme for the adolescent girls of Namsai and Lekang Circles here today. Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom graced the function as Chief Guest.
Around 100 adolescent girls from Namsai and Lekang circles took part in the programme. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tapasya Raghav, ADC Bijoy Talukdar, SDO(S) Orin Lego, all the administrative officers of the district and DPO were present in the function.
Welcoming the gathering Librarian S. Mukherjee appealed to the girls to visit the library at regular interval and for maximum utilization of the store house of knowledge which helps them to become a responsible citizen.
Dr Tapasya Ragav in her motivational speech said that the youth are the future of the nation and adolescent stage is the most crucial part of an individual. She advised them to refrain from all awful habits which can spoil their future, but to involve in teaching learning process and in creative social activities. The Deputy Commissioner also assured to look into all the aspects to provide support and assistance for the cause of betterment of adolescent girls of the area.
The MLA in his address said that the focal area of the present government is to spread developmental activities in each and every part of the state especially in Education and Health sector. Appreciating the public library activities in the state, Namchoom advised the gathering to encourage one and all to take advantage of the district library. The MLA contributed membership fees for all 100 participating adolescent girls who obtained spot library membership.
