Yupia, Feb 17: The two-day District Level Training of the census functionaries of Papum Pare district and Itanagar Capital Complex for the 1st Phase of 'Census of India 2021' i.e., House Listing and Housing Census and Updation of the National Population Register (NPR) began today here at the ZPC Hall.
Director, Census Operations Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh Dr. Joram Beda while speaking about the importance of Census advised the administrative officers who are the designated District and Charge Census Officers to conduct the entire process in a meticulous manner in their respective jurisdiction to ensure that data collected by the Enumerators are accurate and up-to-date. Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare Pige Ligu also requested them to discharge their duties sincerely during this crucial period. Earlier, DSO cum ADCO E.M. Riram briefed the objectives of the training programme. Resource Person & Deputy Registrar General, DCO, Shillong Bharati Chanda imparted training on various topics like introduction and processes of Census and NPR, legal provisions and roles & responsibilities of Census functionaries, HLO Schedule: concepts and definitions with gender sensitization, preparation of Layout Map (Rural/Urban), mobile app for HLO, preparation of village/town register, charge register, formation and carving of HLBs and segregation of NPR records. On the concluding day of the training she will give training on NPR concepts and definitions, Questions in NPR schedule, NPR mobile app, Management and Monitoring through CMMS-Part-1 & 2, HLB mapping app for Supervisors, practice on CMMS portal etc.
ADCs of Sagalee, Balijan, Kimin & Itanagar Capital Complex Hqs, all administrative officers of Papum Pare and ICC and Technical Assistants attended the training programme. DIPRO
