PAKKE-KESSANG, Aug 5: The District Level Inter-Club Ranking Badminton Tournament  conducted under the aegis of Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) which continued  from August 2-4 concluded  successfully here today.
MLA Pakke-Kessang, Biyuram Wahge while attending the closing ceremony as Chief Guest appreciated the organizers for conducting such an important talent hunt programme & congratulated the participants & winners. “Games and sports are an important and essential part of a person's life,” underlined Waghge. He also assured to look into the memorandum submitted by the State Badminton Association regarding development of sports infrastructures in the area.
Earlier, inaugurating the tournament as Chief Guest on August 3, Deputy Commissioner, Pakke-Kessang, Tamuna Messar highlighted the benefits and importance games and sports to the youngsters.
President, District unit ASBA, S.C Tok briefed on the importance & scope of Badminton as a career and exhorted all to lend support in popularizing the game in the district. A total of 60 players participated in various categories.
