HAYULIANG, Mar 11: The District Hospital in Anjaw is getting a new lease of life due to relentless effort made by local MLA, Dasanglu Pul where in the first phase medical equipment were procured to make the hospital functional.

“If the Hospital is made functional it will cater better health services to 21096 populace, 305 villages and 8 administrative circles as well as to those brave soldiers guarding the Indo – China border area,’ said the MLA.

It was my top agenda during the election to immediately make the medical functional for providing better health services to the hapless and common people, she stated.

When asked about actual figure of the Hospital, DMO Dr. K Preme expressed regret over the acute shortage of manpower. “We have 5 Medical Officers instead of 21 in the entire district, limited GNM but satisfactory ANM. I have placed the grievances to the Minister Health & Family Welfare to heed our demand urgently for the smooth functioning of the hospital,’ he informs.

Almost 90% of the work has been completed except electricity, water supply and minor finishing work to make it functional, the DMO says.

The eye catching infrastructure built at the left bank of mighty Lohit River when functional will cater to the health needs of border residents including security personnel.
