BOMDILA, May 18: Anticipating the arrival of more returnees comprising students and others back to the district over the coming days, West Kameng DC on Monday identified an additional makeshift Covid-19 block consisting of 20 beds here at the District Hospital in presence of DMO, DSO, Medical Superintendent, doctors and UD & H department engineers.
The said block would be set up on the ground floor of the new under-construction building of the hospital with separate blocks for male and female having facilities of exhaust fans, large aluminium-cased windows, bathrooms, toilets, wash basins, dustbins etc. and a duty room and security cell. Preliminary works have started on a war footing and is expected to be completed by the UD&H department within a week.
Earlier in the morning, a meeting to discuss the micro plans for containing local transmission of coronavirus and their enforcement was held by the DC attended by the Nodal Officers. DIPRO
