PASIGHAT, Jul 16: The District Level Coordination Meeting of District Planning Board, East Siang district was held today here at DC Conference hall with the objective of chalking out a holistic Action Plan for the district in all sectors.
East Siang Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh chaired the  meeting with HoDs of various departments viz. PWD, Power, UD, PMC, RWD, WRD, Education, Health, Agriculture  and others presenting  progress reports of Central and State flagship programmes for last two years along with submission of proposals of the respective sectors for the Annual Plan 2019-20. 
Local MLAs, Lombo Tayeng, Ninong Ering and Kaling Moyong were present in the meeting. Lombo Tayeng opined that the policy decision for decentralized planning from district level under chairmanship of DC through the District Planning Board will help in proper selection of schemes and projects based on the requirements at grassroot level and help in optimum utilization of fund. Ninong Ering suggested for framing up the proposals as per allocation approved by the government in the budget session of Legislative Assembly which was held in 1st week of July. While referring to Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Road Plan, he said that team work is necessary to reach the objectives.
MLA Kaling Moyong, while putting his views and suggestions to strengthen the implementation of various infrastructures, also stressed on Comprehensive Plan for Master City Drainage for Pasighat Market and other vulnerable areas of the township facing the perennial problem of waterlogging. He also urged WRD to explore the potentials in inland waterways of Siang river which would boost economic and tourism activities.
DC, who is also the Chairperson of District Planning Board after reviewing the status of schemes and new proposals for the district, stressed on innovative and comprehensive proposals. She also issued instructions to the executing agency to expedite early completion of the bridge over Poglek river and early completion of CT Scan room at BPGH, Pasighat. She also instructed the DPO to liaise with the concerned department for early submission of the proposals from the District to State level with proper justification against each proposal. Later, the house approved the schemes/projects submitted by various departments to be taken up during 2019-20. DIPRO
