Aalo, Aug 8: The District Badminton Championship 2019 themed ‘Discipline, Duty and Sportsmanship Spirit Through Badminton’ is going to be held at Jarbom Gamlin Indoor Stadium, Yomcha on August 17 and 18 next.
Venue and itinerary of the event was finalized under the chairmanship of Dr. K. Rina here at BN Club for Badminton events which will have age-wise competition such as U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and  U-19, for both Boys & Girls, each having Singles & Doubles categories along with Open Category-Men & Women Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles.
Certificates and medals along with cash prizes will be awarded and selection of players for the upcoming Dorjee Khandu Badminton Championship will also be made from the participating players by the Selection Committee assigned by DBA West Siang.
Last date for submission of application has been fixed as August 15 and players from West Siang and Shi Yomi districts can only take part in this tournament. Resource and fund mobilization will be done by Executive Body and senior members of DBA West Siang and Officers’ Badminton Club, Yomcha will assist the DBA for smooth conduct of the tournament.
