AALO, Sep 14:A series of Disaster Management Awareness Programme covering 31 sectors of Aalo Township concluded at Aalo Yijo Colony on Thursday. During the entire process of awareness, the DDMO explained in detail on earthquake, its impact on society and social structure and key precautionary measures before, during and after an earthquake. Since we are located in earthquake prone Zone-V, such natural calamity cannot be ruled out any time and it is important to keep ourselves prepared, he said.
Team from fire station Aalo gave detailed deliberations on fire hazards and presented practical demonstrations on surface rescue and first response during fire accident. The programme was organized by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) West Siang in collaboration with Police Department, Aalo.
