ITANAGAR, Sep 11: Directorate of Women & Child Development organised webcasting at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre, here for the direct interaction programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Anganwadi workers, helpers, and supervisors of Papum Pare attended the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner (WCD)  Gamli Padu briefed about the ongoing Rashtriya Poshan Maah ( National Nutrition Month) in particular and Poshan Abhiyaan in general.   All the districts and blocks of Arunachal Pradesh participated through webcasting and live television shows.

Director, WCD, T.P.Loyi said that it is a great opportunity for the all participants to learn from the success stories from other states and requested functionaries to inculcate those practices in their respective Anganwadi centers.

Arunachal Pradesh has 6225 Anganwadi workers, 6225 Anganwadi helpers under 98 ICDS projects and 3862 ASHAs and  1049 ANMs.

In the State and districts, National Informatics Centre (NIC) provided the webcasting facilities. Along with frontline workers DDs (ICDS), DMOs, MOs, and CDPOs attended the Direct Samvad programme.
