ITANAGAR, May 6: Itanagar Diocesan Empowerment Association (IDEA) joined hands with Don Bosco Youth Centre (DBYC) to reach out to the villages of Batth, Moin Happa, Poma, Donyi and Dokum in providing dry ration as a part of their Covid-19 Food Relief programme. 
Over one hundred families from these villages benefited from the programme which highlighted the slogan, “Let no one go to bed hungry.” Bishop of Itanagar Dr. John Thomas accompanied the team and inaugurated the programme and spoke on the importance of solidarity during the current crisis period due to Covid-19. 
Speaking at Poma village, Director, DBYC Fr. Cyriac thanked the Bishop for joining in the efforts of DBYC and sponsoring food kits for over 100 families. He also thanked the Director of IDEA, Fr. Sijo Jose for the promptness with which logistics were arranged and acknowledged the efforts of  Advocates Mayu Taring and Pisa Dobum for facilitating the programme’s successful conduct.
During the two-day programme, Secretary General of Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society Kani Nada Maling accompanied the team and distributed masks to children which she made herself that was appreciated by the organizers. DBYC PR
