NAHARLAGUN, Jul 9:  Naharlagun Police under the supervision of Capital SP Tumme Amo has solved the murder mystery of a woman whose body was found along the Dikrong river on July 5 last in between Nirjuli and Doimukh.
One Issac Ali and a woman Kalpana Basumatary of Assam have been arrested by police in connection with the case. Isaac Ali on interrogation has admitted his involvement as well as his partner Kalpana in the crime during interrogation, informed the SP. He also informed that police has registered a case under Section 302/376/34 IPC against both the accused.
While disclosing the reason behind the crime, SP stated that Issac along with his girlfriend Kalpana killed the victim with a stone, who was also a part of the triangular love affair. Days before the incident, both the accused made plans to settle somewhere else and to support their plan, Ali asked the victim to meet him with cash at the designated place. Accordingly, the victim waited near the river bank  on the evening of July  4 only to meet her end, the  SP disclosed.
