JAIRAMPUR, May 28: Deputy Inspector General of Police (TCL) Kime Kaming, visited Jairampur Sub Division to take stock of preparedness on COVID-19 and security issues. He was accompanied by SDPO Miao, OC PS Jairampur and OC PS Nampong
DIGP visited both Nampong and Jairampur Police station and briefed security personnel to maintain social distancing, use mask and sanitizers to fight against the spread of coronavirus. DIGP also stressed on inculcating professionalism among police personnel.
He also instructed police personnel to be physically and mentally fit to deal with any situation effectively to curtail drug menace in the region , underground elements etc . DIGP also discussed about porous border of Manmao area particularly of Pinbiro to check illegal migrations.
DIGP also visited Pangsau Pass to review security system and ensure that no cross border infiltrations occur and interacted with Assam Rifles personnel posted at the international border.
Meanwhile, DIGP held a meeting with Commandant, 19th Assam Rifles and detailed discussion on the security scenario of entire Jairampur Sub Division was held.
