NAMSAI, Jun 5: In view of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the state, Dy. Inspector General of Police Eastern Range, Take Ringu IPS along with Superintendent of Police, Namsai Ankit Singh visited various quarantine facilities in Namsai district to take stock of the situation.
‘Two returnees from Chennai have tested positive for COVID-19 recently in the district. The detection of large number of COVID-19 positive cases among the returnees in the neighbouring Changlang district is a matter of concern and the people need to stay alert and should maintain all safety precautions issued during the Lockdown even though the Unlocking is in progress,' stated DIGP while interacting with the officials.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner in an executive order has banned the inter-district movement of persons and vehicles from Diyun, Miao and Bordumsa circle of Changlang district in Namsai district except of medical emergency or essential items that too with proper permission from the administration.
