CHANGLANG, Jan 20: The 4th District Task force for Immunization Meeting and NID-2020 Workshop was convened by the District Health Society (DHS), Changlang under the chairmanship of DC Cum Chairman DHS R. K. Sharma along with participation of Medical Officers & health functionaries from CHCs & PHCs of Changlang HQ, Miao, Jairampur, Diyun, Manmao, Namtok and Yatdam.
DMO Dr C.L. Manchey while deliberating on the significance of IPPI Programme, stressed on regular reporting of AFP (Acute Flaccid Paralysis) cases from respective health facilities. DRCHO Dr. Jumnya Ado gave a detailed review of IPPI 1st round 2019 with 97% achievement status, facility-wise IPPI Microplan-2020 & performance status of Routine Immunization w.e.f. April to December 2019. Meanwhile, NID (IPPI) Programme for Changlang district started from January 19 and will continue till January 21 with a targeted coverage of around 14800 children in 0-5 years age category through 225 IPPI booths which would also include the remote Vijoynagar Circle under Miao Subdivision this year.
ASHAs in all health facilities would also be engaged in house-to-house visits thereafter.
DC cum Chairman exhorted the Health Department to work towards achieving 100 % target by overcoming all hurdles with concerted efforts and assured all possible cooperation for smooth conduct of the immunization programme. DIPRO
