ITANAGAR, Dec 28: In an attempt to increase digital footprint in governance in Arunachal Pradesh, Prince Dhawan,  Deputy commissioner cum Administrator, Itanagar Municipal Council, inaugurated e-Office at Itanagar municipal council.
 
 
 
Speaking as chief guest, the DC said that e-Office is a complete digital work place solution for government offices and it is built based on the Central Government Manual of Procedures.
 
e-Office provides an effective mechanism to monitor the performance of individuals, pendency of files, files cleared, files worked on, etc. This digital monitoring mechanism of e-office will increase the accountability and responsibility of staff at all levels and bring about a positive change in the administrative system.
 
He also said that earlier there were many cases of misplaced files or torn/damaged files that put citizens to inconvenience but after implementation of e-office all these practices will automatically stop.
 
Earlier highlighting the effort made to roll out e-office at IMC District Informatics officer Tarani Kumar, NIC Capital Complex informed that all the prerequisites like computers, printers, scanners   were procured through GeM portal. 34 Mbps lease line NICNET connectivity was provided to IMC office. Three-day training cum hands-on practice session was conducted at e-office training hall, Civil Secretariat.
 
He also informed that for Itanagar Municipal Council is the only Municipality in entire North East to go completely paperless and implement the e-office solution.
