ITANAGAR, Apr 17: Lt Gen SK Shrivastava, DGBR recently reviewed the progress of works on operationally critical roads in the Area of Responsibility of Project Arunank from April 12 to 14 last.

In his visit to the state, the DG carried out inspection of Kimin – Potin Road which is being upgraded to NHDL specifications and visited the Upper Subansiri region, and reviewed the progress of operationally critical roads including TCC – Taksing, and TCC – Maza and Sarli – Lee – Huri Road on April 14 last.

Expressing satisfaction, the DG stressed that the quality of work should be of highest standard and urged the executing team to adhere to the quality as per DPR estimate.

Further acknowledging the difficulty of terrain, unpredictable weather, and the constraints of local resources in the region which posed huge challenge to BRO in timely completion of the roads, DG exhorted the BRO team to keep pushing forward so that connectivity on these roads could be established by March 2018. DG also took note of the major issues impeding the progress like non availability of construction material, labour, personnel issues etc, and assured their immediate resolution.
