ITANAGAR,Feb 8: Officiating Additional Director General of Border Roads Organisation(East), P K H Singh, VSM, CE accompanied by CE Project Arunank Brigadier, R S Rawal called on the Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein at Itanagar today.
Assuring the Deputy Chief Minister for timely completion of the road projects under BRO, Singh said that he will leave no stone unturned to complete the road projects in time. He apprised the status of construction of 30 km stretch of Taliha-Tatoroad, widening of road from Daporijo to Taliha and Taliha to Nacho road in Upper Subansiri district, and also about the additional land compensation issue on private properties including agriculture and horticulture land.
He requested for early disposal of the additional land compensation issue and for immediate shifting of utility services like electrical lines/poles from right way on Daporijo-Taliha road. He also requested for early handling over of 2.20 km state road from Sikarijo to Subansiri bridge to BRO.
Mein lauded the BRO for their relentless service in bringing connectivity to the border and remote areas of the state. While extending his support to the BRO, he assured them of immediate settlement of the additional land compensation issue of the above mentioned stretch of road and reiterated that individual interests will not be allowed to cause hindrance to the developmental works.
He gave direction to the Commissioner (PWD) and Chief Engineer(Highway) to convene a meeting of the Deputy Commissioner, Upper Subansiri and Heads of Line Departments within 3-4 days to resolve the issue immediately.
