TAWANG, Mar 30:Tawang MLA Tsering attended a developmental meeting for Kitpi and Jamkhar panchayat segments at Kitpi secondary school, yesterday. This marks the culmination of his final leg of his annual 1-Tawang ST constituency developmental tour for the year 2017. Tashi had toured his constituency last year and these 2 segments were excluded and the slated dates differed, pertaining to the demise of a native. 

Addressing the attendance, the local MLA called on everyone to strive for the social, cultural and economic progress of the region. Advocating for collective progress, he appealed the resource owners to donate land for progressive projects, making a strong call to all to support the comprehensive Constituency infrastructure program.

After being apprised of the hardships by the panchayat leaders and village heads of the twin segments verbally and by memorandums, he reaffirmed phase wise redressal of the issues.

He also emphasised on quality works and underlined the preservation of the rich Monpa traditional and cultural heritage and  mass enrolments in schools for uplifting the educational scenario of the region.

Further, he supplicated the youth to refrain from inclining on recommendations for government jobs and egged them to make themselves worthy by toiling hard and excelling in academics and competitive exams.

"Only a literate society with bright, brilliant and insightful youth will ward off unemployment  and help in our infrastructure program which in turn will boost commercial and general economic activities in the region", he articulated.

The main focus of the meetings was to bring more awareness in the Constituency long term development infrastructure program, garnering first hand report of the grievances of the countrymen and its redressal.

Earlier in the morning, Tashi inaugurated Tengthin monastery while Rev. Rikya Lhavoe Rinpoche consecrated the Gonpa at Thengthin village under Kitpi circle.

Tawang DC Sang Phuntso, District BJP president Sange Chodup, Kitpi ZPM Sherap, HoDs and Panchayati Raj members also attended the events.
