Khonsa, Mar 20: Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer (DC-cum-DEO) of Tirap, Ira Singhal embarked on a comprehensive inspection of several Special Surveillance Teams (SST) locations across the district. Accompanied by Yowa Anya, APCS, Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) of the 57 Borduria-Bogapani Assembly Constituency, the visit aimed to strengthen vigilance measures ahead of upcoming events.
During her interaction with the SST personnel, DEO Singhal emphasized the critical importance of maintaining a daily register documenting all vehicle movements and any potential seizures. She provided clear instructions on the proper procedures for maintaining these records and underscored the significance of accurate reporting. Singhal further directed the teams to adhere to the prescribed format for compiling seizure reports, ensuring seamless coordination and data integrity.
"This inspection underscores our commitment to accountability and transparency in electoral processes," she stated.  "By maintaining meticulous records and adhering to standardized reporting procedures, we can bolster public trust and confidence in the electoral system."
The visit by DC-cum-DEO Singhal and ARO Anya underscores the administration's proactive approach towards ensuring fair and transparent elections in Tirap District. Such initiatives are crucial in upholding democratic principles and fostering a culture of integrity within the electoral framework.
