Yupia, Feb 23: Papum Pare DEO Jiken Bomjen reviewed the district’s poll preparedness during a meeting here on Friday.
The status of human resource, training, transportation management, law and order, vulnerable mapping and security plans for polling stations, electronic voting machine (EVM) management, expenditure monitoring, media, communication plan, electoral rolls, complaints redressal and voter helpline, observers, and welfare management were reviewed by the DEO.
Bomjen advised all the nodal officers to carry out their assigned responsibilities as per the instructions of the ECI, and to maintain proper coordination with the district election office here to discharge the work smoothly.
He further appealed to all the officers and officials assigned election duties to be sincere stating “Polling officials are crucial for ensuring the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.”
EAC ( Elections) Dani Rikang informed that a common service center at DC office with computer and internet connectivity has been installed and requested all the Election nodal officers to avail the services. (DIPRO)
