TEZU, Mar 16: In pursuance to the Press Note issued by ECI, Shashvat Saurabh, DEO Lohit-cum-RO Eastern Parliamentary Constituency today gave a press briefing on the upcoming Simultaneously Election 2024. While interacting with the media, the DEO informed about the important dates of the election and communicated the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct with immediate effect till completion of the whole election process. He also briefed on the preparations made for the upcoming elections. 
Important provisions related to elections under Representative of People Act and penal provisions under IPC were also informed. The DEO also informed that the Flying Squad Teams(FST), the 24X7 Control Room, MCMC, Permission Cell have been activated to ensure compliance and enforcement of MCC. 
The DEO further urged all stakeholders to cooperate and participate actively in the Festival of Democracy to ensure free, fair and transparent elections across the District. DIPRO
