Yupia, Jan 23: Papum Pare DEO -cum -Deputy Commissioner Jiken Bomjen flagged off the EVM mobile demonstration van from the DC office Yupia on Tuesday.
The van carrying audio-visual IEC materials and an EVM machine will be travelling to all the polling stations and prominent places under 14th Doimukh ,15th Sagalee and 13thItanagar Assembly constituencies to familiarize the masses with the EVM voting process.
Flagging off the van DEO Bomjen said that the mobile van will provide an opportunity to the common people to access the EVMs and clear their doubts about the voting process on the EVMs.
He further informed that live EVM demonstration center (EDC) has been established at the DC office Yupia, where public can access the EVMs during the office hours.
“Similar EDCs have been established at the offices of DC ICR, ADC Balijan, ADC Sagalee and ADC Doimukh for the convenience of the public,” he further informed while appealing all to avail the facility.
The flagging off ceremony was attended by HoOs, Admin officers and staff of DC office Yupia. DIPRO
