3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth

ITANAGAR, Nov 9: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver this year’s Rutum Kamgo Memorial Lecture on the topic ‘Towards Bridging the Indo-China Relationship for an Emerging Asia’ on November 11 next at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre.
The event organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Charitable Task (APCT) marks the 7th anniversary of the passing away of noted social activist late Rutum Kamgo. The previous editions of Rutum Kamgo Memorial Lecture has witnessed prominent speakers which includes the likes of BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav, noted social activist Vijay Swami , senior journalist Praful Ketkar.
While speaking to the media at Arunachal Press Club, Talem Mize, Secretary, Arunachal Pradesh Charitable Task (APCT) said, “ Hon’ble Minister Nirmalaji would speak on the need and importance of forging an alliance between India and China to establish a new world order.”
The 21st Century belongs to the Asians, as the 20th Century belonged to the Americans and 19th Century was the Europeans, said Mize while adding that Nirmalaji would explore the ways and means to strengthen Sino-India ties.
Military posturing at the border has led to a new kind of arm-race to the benefits of arm manufacturing countries which isn’t in the interests of these two Asian powers , he added. The event is a first of its kind in the state, where India’s Defence Minister is attending and will give a blue print to strengthen the cordial relationship with China, said Chairman APCT, Katung Wage.
He further appealed all likeminded people and professionals to join the event and share ideas. Asserting that the lecture will help create awareness among both the citizens of Arunachal as well as to the Chinese counterpart, member APCT, Nido Sektar informed that besides members from APCT, people from all walks of life and professions will be present to listen to the Defence Minister as well as to share information and ideas to strengthen Indo-China relationship
