3rd Bharat Lok Sangeet Arunachal Utsav connects with youth
BOMDILA, Nov 8: Cutting short the visit to Anjaw, Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman along with MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju, GOC Eastern Command aamong others arrived at Bomdila Wednesday afternoon to take stock of the situation in person.
The Defence Minister gave a patient hearing to the local Legislator, Civil society representatives of all the six tribes of the district each of whom ventilated their grievances.
The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and CO Arunachal Scouts too presented their version on the incident that took place on November 3 at Police Station Bomdila. The Defence Minister later visited the site of incident at Police Station Bomdila to see the damages caused. She gave a patient and fair hearing to the lady Police officials and OC Police Station Bomdila who were on duty on November 2 last. The Raksha Mantri while spending two hours in Bomdila enquiring about the whole incident of November 2 -3, encouraged all the officers to keep their morale high while rendering service to the nation.
MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju while condemning the unfortunate incident called for better understanding and co-operation between the armed forces and the civil administration for a vibrant and prosperous society.
