TAWANG, Mar 19:Dispensing yeoman service to the humankind, Tawang Monpa Employees Society (TMES) performed the last rites and laid a deceased tourist to rest.
The tourist hailing from Maharashtra had expired on Sunday, probably of breathing issues after being stranded at Sela (Dzela) pass owing to heavy snowfall.
The family members of the deceased also attended the last rites performed with full Hindu traditions at Changbu cremation ground.
It is noteworthy that TMES had garnered huge national and international applause after assisting in recovery, documentation and cremation of a female Bulgarian tourist who was buried and killed by an avalanche at RA- 1 sector a year back.
