PASIGHAT, Jun 25:  A coordination meeting of BEOs, BRCCs, CRCCs, BRPs and Head Teachers of Elementary Education of East Siang District was held on Friday at school auditorium of IJG Govt. Hr. Sec. School Pasighat.

Many important issues pertaining to Elementary Education like academic improvement, MDM implementations, maintaining of School Records and returns, Aadhaar Enrolment of Students and quality issues were discussed in length and many resolutions were adopted in the marathon meeting.

For enhancing the quality of Education, the Complex System of Examination at the level of class V and Class VIII will be re-introduced wherein the question papers will be set commonly at block level for all Schools. A committee headed by the Principal of the nearest School as Chairman and the concern BEO as Member Secretary will be constituted soon for conducting the Block level complex examination. This system will be used to judge the performance of the school and the concern teacher.

For all round development of growing children games and sport, literary activities, and cultural activities will be incorporated in the daily class routines of the schools. The school schedule will not be limited to teaching learning within the four walls of the classrooms, informed DDSE in a release. Games like football for boys & girls and track events competitions will be organised at block level which will be funded under LAD fund of concern MLAs of the block/district. Proposal for organizing the games & sports of UPS Level to District Level has been prepared for finding out a funding source from District Administration or trough CSR.

Besides these activities, school beautification and kitchen garden will be implemented by all schools. Through kitchen garden children will learn the basic knowledge of growing vegetables and plants and the product will be used in mid-day-meal.

While delivering his speech DDSE Jongge Yirang said that, repealing of the “No Detention Policy” is actively under consideration of the Government and education Department is going to link the annual increment of all categories of employees of the Department with the performance of the employee. Yirang appealed all head teachers to re-dedicate themselves for the welfare of the growing innocent children and re-gain the confidence of parents so that children are taken back to Govt. School from Private Schools.
