KHONSA, Sep 19:Deputy Director of School Education, Pubi Lombi recently paid a surprise visit to various governments schools in Khonsa to review their functioning and to get first-hand information of the education scenario.
While joining the morning assembly at Government Higher Secondary School, Khonsa, Lombi exhorted students especially of class X and XII to be disciplined and dedicated in their studies.
Interacting with students, the DDSE reminded that as per Pre-board exam criteria, a student must fulfil 30% attendance, 33% marks in the pre-board exam to appear in the ensuing CBSE/AISSCE exams.
Earlier, on September 15 the DDSE also visited Govt. Secondary School Thinsa wherein he advised the students to maintain proper uniform and haircut etc. Later on the same day, he visited Govt. Primary School Sanliam & Kheti and Deomali etc.
During his visits to various schools in the district, he also emphasized on health and hygiene and instructed all the Principals/ Headmasters to conduct regular cleanliness drive to avoid water borne diseases
