TAWANG, Nov 26: District Disaster Management Authority of Tawang in collaboration with 12th Bn NDRF Doimukh conducted a series of Disaster Management and Awareness Programmes on School Safety from November 16-26.
The Awareness and School Safety Programmes concluded today at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Kangteng. During these ten-day programme, 3 Higher Secondary Schools, 4 Secondary schools and 4 Upper Primary Schools of the district were covered. Around 2000 students from all these schools were given awareness and training on various techniques and methods of search and rescue operations, medical first aid and fire safety measures.
Earlier the same NDRF team has participated in the XIth Maitree Diwas celebration 2019 at Tawang, wherein they installed an exhibition stall to showcase NDRF search and rescue equipment in collaboration with DDMA Tawang, informed DDMO Tawang Tsangpa Tashi. DIPRO
