ITANAGAR, Oct 31: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein accompanied by State Legislative Assembly Speaker P.D. Sona and MLA Zingnu Namchoom on Thursday inspected the work-in-progress of Assembly museum at Assembly Secretariat.
The museum being set up in the Assembly premises will depict the origin, growth and functioning of the Assembly as well as the rich cultural heritage of the State.
DCM, who always pitches for preservation of rich cultural heritage of state through research and other means, expressed happiness over the ongoing work. Mein, asked the concerned officers and officials to ensure all information and facts are duly verified and authenticated. He suggested for expert guidance and do extensive research to authenticate the facts.
Earlier, through a PowerPoint presentation, Special Secretary to Speaker P.N. Thongchi gave a detailed overview of the Museum. He highlighted on various aspects of the museum and informed that the museum will be equipped with 3D sculptures, handmade paintings, customised 3D paintings and photographs of the former chief ministers, speakers, deputy speakers and other renowned figures of the State.
