ITANAGAR, Oct 1: The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan today visited the beneficiaries of PMAY( Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) Urban who were paid an amount of Rs 1,50000/- to construct houses.
Itanagar Capital Complex has identified a total of 2401, out of which nine beneficiaries were paid through Direct Benefit Transfer(DBT) today.
The DC visited the homes of the beneficiaries to ensure that the houses have been completed.
The DC further informed that Itanagar Sub Division I has a total of 265 beneficiaries. Itanagar Sub Division II has 202 beneficiaries. Naharlagun Division I has 909 beneficiaries and Naharlagun Sub Division II has 649 beneficiaries.
He informed that all the beneficiaries would be provided with the amount once their completion report is submitted.
He hoped that with the initiative, urban poor will get a chance to own affordable houses in the Capital Complex
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ' (PMAY) is an initiative by Government of India in which affordable housing will be provided to the urban poor with a target of building 20 million affordable houses by 31 March 2022.
