Khonsa, Jul 7: A Review-cum-Convergence meeting of the Tirap Community Resource Management Society under the aegis of the North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) was conducted here at the DC’s chamber on Tuesday, chaired by DC Tirap Bhanu Prabha who is also the Chairperson of the Society.
The objective of the meeting was to seek convergence of various departments for successful implementation of various allied units such as animal feed making, mushroom production, spice drying, tapioca processing, centralised piggery, centralised collection centres, weaving & tailoring and millet processing both in Tirap and Longding districts by NERCORMP in the current 2020-21 FY under the Annual Work Plan & Budget. 
Appealing the line departments and the District Administration to extend all-possible support to NERCORMP and give effect to convergence wherever possible, DC advised the officials to extend technical support and also requested the bankers to extend credit support to the Women SHGs and FPOs. She assured that necessary help and support from the DA in connection with registration of FPOs promoted by NERCORMP for the processing units will be extended. 
District Project Director, NERCORMP Ruzing Bellai assured to finish the establishment of processing and allied units within schedule and appealed to the line departments to give emphasis on increasing raw material production required for the processing and allied units. 
Earlier, DC launched the NERCORMP website and other social media platforms such Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest to showcase its works and achievements of the other departments in Tirap district. 
Extra Assistant Commissioner, Circle Officers, officials from the departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Industries, Handloom & Handicrafts, SBI, DRDA, KVKs were among others who attended the meeting.
