PASIGHAT, Oct 08: In a reminder representation to Dy. Commissioner, East Siang District, Pasighat here today, the Legong Banggo Students’ Union (LBSU) from Ruksin Sub-Division here has appealed the District Administration to issue a prohibitory executive order immediately to stop illegal constructions of both permanent and temporary structures in the government land as per1996 map.
LBSU led by President, Romel Panggeng and General Secretary, David Siram has showed discontentment over the alleged inaction from the district administration despite submission of finding reports from Addl. Dy. Commissioner, Ruksin led committee suggesting immediate direction to stop further construction in the government land.
“We are also doubtful about involvement of some government officials or influential public leaders in delaying the issuance of executive order from the East Siang district administration. Our previous letter also went missing and untraceable from the land management office, Itanagar earlier and concrete action are not being initiated yet”, they added as the union is fighting tooth & nail against the illegal grabbing of government lands at Sille-Oyan areas.
The union has also threatened to launch a series of democratic movements in the form of bandh call if district administration fails to issue the much needed and sought for prohibitory executive order to stop any constructions in the government lands at Sille-Oyan based on the reports of ADC Ruksin submitted already to DC office Pasighat.
