Khonsa, May 11: The newly joined Tirap Deputy Commissioner Bhanu Prabha accompanied by DMO Dr. Koblem Mossang and Medical Superintendent, General Hospital Khonsa Dr. Khogen Socia on Monday visited the Covid-19 Control Room, indoor & outdoor PDs, isolation ward and interacted with the patients, nurses and doctors.
DC took stock of the status of the quarantines centres in Tirap district and assured to address the shortage of health equipment soon. Later, accompanied by Medical Superintendent, EAC Hakresha Kri, I/c. CO Bari-Basip Hibu Doley, DLRSO Khonsa Sanyak Lowang, Chief of Bunting Sanyak Lowang and District BJP President Kamrang Tesia visited Charju for selection of land for construction of Zonal Hospital. Chief of Bunting agreed to donate land for construction of the hospital which was previously earmarked for Tirap Degree College and later shifted to Deomali WRC. She also informed that one ambulance will be plying from General Hospital, Khonsa to Zonal Hospital, Charju very shortly to address the travelling problems of emergency patients.
Medical Superintendent said that Charju is suitable for establishment of the Zonal Hospital because it falls under TAH CK main road and is nearby Charju river and Micro Hydel Project. Earlier on May 8, Tirap DC visited Hukanjuri check gate to see the preparedness and on the next day met the inmates in quarantines centres at the polytechnic and Don Bosco School, Kheti and advised them to follow the SOP norms.
DC appreciated the Chief and others for extending their cooperation by contributing the land for creation of the health asset which will serve the interest of the TCL (Tirap Changlang & Longding) people.
Later, she convened a review meeting of HoDs in connection with the ongoing preparedness of Covid-19 in the district which was attended by SP Kardak Riba, ADC Kretkam Tikhak and the DMO. DIPRO
