PASIGHAT, Jan 6: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kinny Singh reviewed the progress of the perspective plans for generation and transmission of power in East Siang district and the hurdles that are coming in way during a coordination cum review meeting held today here at the DC’s Conference Hall.
DC emphasised on early completion of the required operational infrastructure and expediting the processes for making the power sector robust and resilient. She reviewed various issues relating to timely completion of “Comprehensive Power Transmission Scheme” in the district, after completion of which, East Siang will have alternate means of grid connectivity. Land issues were reviewed and administration officers and DLRSO were instructed to solve all issues expeditiously. DC further instructed the DGM, Powergrid for timely completion of works at Napit and Niglok substations and assured to hold review meetings twice in every month.
